My houseplants never lasted long either. I got myself a cactus at some point, since it barely needs any water. But I’m afraid I still watered it too often. It was meant well, but I accidentally drowned it.

These days I tell myself, if I want to see plants, I can just go outside. Which I rarely do. But I COULD! In theory.

Sometimes the comic characters ask me in their prayers, “Why do bad things happen in comics? Why don’t you draw everything so that there’s always a happy ending and everyone’s perfectly happy?”

Well, I COULD do that, but then the comics wouldn’t be entertaining anymore. All the bad stuff in the comics is part of a bigger plan (to get more likes on social media).

Some super-sweet compliments are actually not that great to hear.

In some situations, it’s better not to show your feelings too openly. Like when you want to tell your boss what you really think. Constructive criticism is important, but your feedback comes across more professionally if you’re not yelling the whole time.

The mealworm is pretty small, so here’s a close-up so you can get a better look. It’s a very good-looking worm and also works part-time as a mealworm model.

I spent about five times as long on the background as I did on the cartoon itself. But that’s okay. I needed an excuse to avoid doing housework.
