In its dreams, the Hippo loves travelling the universe and swimming through intergalactic rivers. And in its imagination, it’s the lead singer of a famous band called “The Turteltauben” (The Turtledoves) that plays a mix of German folk music and heavy metal.
The Hippo isn’t a huge fan of reality, though.

The best solution in a case like that would probably be a pet:
Most of the time, I don’t buy chocolate — because as soon as there’s chocolate lying around, my brain insists I eat all of it at once. If I refuse, I can’t get any work done, because my brain won’t stop thinking about the chocolate until I finally give in. And after I eat it, my brain gets super mad because now there’s no chocolate left.

I’ve drawn around 5,000 comics in my life, and I’m pretty sure I had caffeine in my bloodstream for every single one of them.

We worked hard for this trophy, and a whole lot of people from all corners of the world contributed a little part to it. (A few even contributed a huge part all on their own.)

Unfortunately, cookies don’t contain many vitamins. That’s why we have to eat massive amounts of cookies to obtain enough vitamins. It can be a lot of work, but good health is important. 🍪

Sometimes I put in a bit of extra effort when drawing the faces…
The plant the ladybug was sitting on isn’t visible in the last panel anymore. That’s because the snail ate it. It was full of vitamins and still tasty.

When people walk toward you, it’s still pretty okay—you just pass each other, and then it’s back to peace and quiet.
But if they’re walking in front of you or behind you at roughly the same pace, the whole vibe is ruined. The only thing that might help is stopping and pretending to tie your shoes for 42 minutes.

By the way, these are supposed to be unicorn fish, not narwhals. (Narwhals don’t have a horn; they have a giant tooth. But I can’t scribble something like that—it would probably look super weird.)
Unicorn fish came to be like this: Most of the unicorns that used to roam around here eventually got fed up, jumped into the ocean, and evolved into narwhals. That’s why you don’t see unicorns running around anymore. Nature is full of wonders!
Spending a lot of time with other penguins (or people) is pretty exhausting anyway, even if they’re not talking a bunch of nonsense. But spending a lot of time alone isn’t necessarily relaxing either…
